Months have gone by. Updates have gone through. This has got to be the worst app experience I have ever seen. It crashes literally constantly and its random.
Sometimes it will skip to a different song halfway through one, and then just quit the app immediately right after. Nothing I do can get this app to work.
I have tried everything. Ridiculous for a multi billion dollar company that wants you to pay premium price for lossless music can't even get a simple music playing app to work without literally CONSTANT crashes.
What I really like about this Amazon music app is not only that it's user-friendly for someone like me who is not up with the times as far as apps and music goes, but it makes it extremely easy for me to find the music I love. When I do find an artist I love, I can easily put together an excellent playlist from any number of or all the songs on a particular album by clicking a box or two, or one box at the top that selects every song on the album in a single click.
I have the ability to listen to anything I want, anytime I want for one monthly fee. I can download a song for a little more, or keep everything in one place online. Honestly, it's a fine app, and serves the basic purpose of listening to Amazon Music on Windows desktop, but if you're going to release an app into the store after it has matured as much as it has, it shouldn't feel this half-baked.
The app was clearly not designed for touch, playback stops when the pc screen locks, and there is no integration with the Windows 10 built-in music controls in the volume dialogue. While I'm complaining, why is there no "cast to Echo" button or similar for smart home devices?
Yes, it does what it is advertised to do, and does it fairly well, but significant UI fixes are in order. I like the store and the choice of music.
However the fact that it is not a smart app bothers me. Why can't the play queue remember what is in it and where it was after a restart? Why can't my play queue sync between devices? If I am listening in the car on my phone then move to the house, I can't just continue where I was.
This app does not work and crashed my laptop when I try to open. Have tried uninstalling and downloading multiple times with zero success. I love this app. I have it on all my devices and I use it a ton. When it works, it works fine. Other times, not so much. I've had to uninstall and reinstall multiple times over the last few weeks. Loads the app but won't play the music.
